JDRF

JDRF are the leading global type 1 diabetes charity, working every day to help people live better with the condition, prevent people ever developing it and one day, find cures. I worked with them in-studio ahead of two major news stories.

“A huge thank you to Lisa. A Parliamentary Inquiry Report is always going to be complex and nuanced - there were numerous findings, recommendations, evidence and a range of policy and clinical stakeholders. At the heart of the inquiry was heart-breaking lived experience and a set of actions to improve health outcomes, save lives and save NHS costs.

Thanks to Lisa, the JDRF team developed the key messaging in the media training, balancing the hard hitting nature of systemic treatment failings, with support for people who are living with Type 1 and Disordered Eating. We were able to then test the messages through the studio media training.

We practised how the report would play out with specific media - including BBC Breakfast. This meant when we launched and BBC Breakfast wanted to feature us on the sofa for an interview on the T1DE Parliamentary Inquiry - that I felt prepared, able to answer any questions with the skills and techniques to be in control of the interview and the messaging.

Would recommend Lisa Mangan for all media training - hugely valuable.”
